Nowadays, almost any digital camera stores some information in every photo it takes. This information refers to camera settings, the date the picture was taken and other such information. Wouldn't it be better to have this sort of information available also for video files? Now you can with the help of iTag. As the name clearly states, the program can tag any image or video file with a title, description, rating and also geographical information. This way, you will be able to recall where the picture was taken or who is in it.

iTag is not difficult to install, nor does take long to complete this action. Furthermore, it can run in any version of the Windows operating system without problems. Besides that, it takes up little hard disk space and it's gentle with the system resources.

The interface of iTag has a graphical form, featuring some big buttons for accessing the program's functions. Users are able to load an image, a set of images or a complete folder full of images. Every image loaded into the program will be displayed as a thumbnail, together with rating information shown as a number of stars. One can easily add a title and a description just by selecting an image. Besides adding this, the user can also set the geographical location where the photo was taken and also the shooting date and time, in case this information is set incorrectly.

After all the information has been entered, one can export all the images imported into the program to a web album. Doing so will generate some files which should be uploaded on the user's website. Running the online slideshow requires a certain plugin which is available at the producer's website.

Pros

It features a simple interface that makes it easy to add a lot of images at once. Besides that, every image can be tagged with various information, like title, description, rating or geographical location. Furthermore, images can be exported to a web album.

Cons

Viewing the web album requires a special plugin that should be installed separately. Besides that, the program doesn't include a feature for uploading all the web files to the user's website, as he has to do this manually. iTag is a great tagging software that can tag any type of image with various information.
